Whistle sound coming from engine compartment under light acceleration (1 Viewer)

Tried modulating the throttle couple times in this video. Every time I get on the throttle about 20 percent I hear a whistle sound coming from the engine compartment . Can’t figure out if it is the air intakes or something else

I think we need a candidate on stock tires to evaluate as the whistle sound is subtle and may not be heard over more aggressive tires . This noise is more pronounced during freeway driving. As the engine is down in the rpm range and putting a load on the engine in overdrive gears.

Whistle Above 65 mph, Not Wind Noise

Hey Everyone, '23 limited Crewmax 4WD owner here with a lesser talked about problem. On a recent road trip I began to notice a whistle/hum/howl noise...

My vehicle does not have this noise at all. '25 Luxury+ on factory tires.

Honestly - sounds more like gear whine to me from a differential or from the transmission - maybe like a diff with the wrong pinion bearing preload. I would think a vacuum leak audible at highway speeds would be so enormous you'd get a check engine light.

Bring the video to a dealer and try to get a tech to sit with you while you drive. I don't think this is DIY-able.

I’m afraid they would chalk it to normal characteristic of the vehicle

Maybe, but at least you have a thread of complaints to refer to later in case they come out with a fix or if your vehicle needs a repair in the future

I really can’t tell anything from the video. When I have had diff issues that required new gearing, the noise was from coast to light acceleration and back to coast. Was also definitely not from the engine or front of the vehicle.

It needs a tech to ride and diagnose, which should be easy if there is an issue.
