Now that our GXs are getting to maintenance and replacement.... what is the OEM brand of windshield wiper used on the GX? And... what is your favorite wiper alternative?

How easy is it to pull the rubber off vs replacing the blade? Wondering why you chose just the rubber over replacing the whole thing. Sure looks a heck of a lot cheaper but the rubber I feel is not the best quality out thereFor every car I always go with OEM wiper inserts, leaving the metal blade.

Difficulty depends on the car. I haven't had a need to try the GX yet since it's not that old, so I'm not sure for that one. I can say pulling out the whole blade can be a knuckle-buster, especially when it's cold out.How easy is it to pull the rubber off vs replacing the blade? Like some mentioned I just replaced the rubber inserts on mine with the ones from Toyota. The blade part easily pulls out of the arm and there are two metal strips that fit on the side of the rubber insert. I removed the entire wiper blade from the GX to pull out the rubber wiper part. Easy replacement. The passenger and driver inserts are different sizes with the driver being longer. It's not clear on the Lexus parts site as it reads like one size fits all. I used the Lexus numbers (which are Toyota numbers) and ordered original Toyota replacement rubbers from an online Toyota parts dealer. Now that our GXs are getting to maintenance and replacement.... what is the OEM brand of windshield wiper used on the GX? The numbers I orderd are:

They sometimes want your VIN number when ordering from Toyota parts sites. Of course the Lexus one doesn't work as some of those sites verify that it isn't a Toyota VIN number. I just put in the comments that they are for my GX550 and the part numbers are the same and I have never had a problem getting things shipped. I do this to order the original oil filter that came on my GX too.
