Anyone worried about their V6TT?

I just bought a car that I'd be happy to enter into that race! It starts with 911 and ends with S. But you'd blow the doors off my GX for sure.

Funny story - just 10 minutes ago I'm out working on my workbench in the garage and my 7 year old comes out and says he wants to play with his Hotwheels tracks and he asked if he could choose a new car. He plays the classic game of creating a new track and sending dozens of cars down and then setting them next to the track to see how far they make it, narrowing it down to the best car. I always keep a handful of Hotwheels cars new in the package hanging from a couple pegs on my workbench. It was a childhood dream of mine to have unopened Hotwheels cars hanging in my room so it would be just like that feeling you get when you walk into the toy aisle in the store and see them hanging there. Since I'm an adult and my wife would think it's weird having them hanging in our bedroom, I chose my workbench. Anyway, I tell my boy sure and I mention that there's a nice '71 Lamborghini Miura hanging there that sure looks like it would be fast on a track. He says, "I think I want the Land Rover," and he grabs a Series II truck with the windshield folded down and a surfboard on deck. I say, "Good choice," happy that he still feels the Land Rover love. Then....no kidding and with absolutely no prompting or nothing said by me.....he says, "I sure hope it doesn't break down." It was freaking hilarious. The boy is 7 years old and he gets it.

We've owned LS's, RX's, GS's, and IS's over the years. Problem free. I expected better.
Look, the only one that should be happy of the Defender is You. I've driven one and its one hell of an experience, but I've JLR products on the Past and for real uts simply not fun.. Hope yours dont get problems soon, my disco 5 was great i cannot deny it but the fact that you comstantly had yo go to the dealer for checks or replacements is true.
They are the besst vehicles we have owned and at the same time the worse. the only condition for me to own a JLR is keep it for 3 to 4 years and sold it before warranty expires... But wont stay with Land rover when warranty is off

Ha. That's awesome! Totally with you on the 911. I keep inching closer - Cayenne Turbo, now a Macan GTS, and it's the natural next step!

Cheers.

How do you like the Macan? My neighbor is a long-time Porsche guy and he has 2 of them and they are pretty nice. I'm thinking that a replacement SUV for my wife should happen later this year and I was thinking about a G-Wagon (she has a MB SUV now) because I've always wanted to try a G. But I've also been thinking that the Macan might be fun.

Like it a lot. I put a Cobb stage 1 tune on it so it's quite quick - mid 3's. Doesn't feel nearly as heavy as it actually is - corners really well and very predictable handling/braking. Mine is lowered 10mm and has PTV and other magic that helps hide the heft. And even better, not a single issue - not one - in 4 1/2 years of ownership. It was my "fun car" when I was driving an F-150, but now it's my wife's daily driver.

Wow, that's incredible. Great feedback. Thanks!
