I was informed that there won't be a GX 550 version in the near future. ARB's main concentration is on the LC250 and anything for the GX550 is not in the works at the moment.

Thats interesting, I wonder why? Probably not enough volume? I was looking forward to ARB front and rear bumpers.
Basically, many offroad outfitters including ARB are catering to the Land Cruisers and 4Runners due to their numbers like you suggested. These companies don't envision too many GX owners modifying their vehicles so they don't bother with extra R&D.

I guess the GX does have quite a bit more plastic cladding on the front that has to be worked around and also incorporated for good visual appeal. Would be interesting to see side-by-side comparison of the front ends of both trucks without all the plastic.

I think that bumper looks great on the LC either way. I'm not a fan of the side bars, though.
For sure, and I do know we had to cut plastic on the front and rear of my 200 LC when I installed the ARB to the front and the SLEE to the rear. Plastic is perfect if you can make it work and reducing it to an appealing visual.
