Anybody else’s front brake calipers look as bad as mine? 3800mi in and they look 100yrs old. I do live in a tropical climate but this seems odd. Like the finish is wearing off. I had the brake recall done but pretty certain calipers weren’t part of that

Looks like it could just be brake dust buildup. Would be highly contrast with the silver calipers.

Have you tried an iron remover or brake dust cleaner and a medium bristle brush yet?
Hope you get a solution!

I use IronX every wash although never actually scrubbed the caliper. I’ll try that, thanks!

Do you garage your GX? I live on the coast and the salt air can do that. It happened to my Tacoma because it stayed out. I keep the GX in the garage and my Calipers look fine.

Garaged overnight but sits outside in the hot/humid tropical air for 11hrs a day :/

I would ask your service manager about it when you take it in for it's first service. Could be a problem with the paint. Either way it's still a beautiful truck and it looks like you take meticulous care.

Bump. Anybody else having this issue? Local dealer going to take a look next week but would like to see if its more common or a one-off
