Quick one to be aware of - I was driving the other day on a highway (110kph zone) when suddenly there was a huge downpour of heavy / torrential rain.. everyone slowed down to about 50kph with their hazards on as there was low visibility.
My distance control was still activated, with the speed set on the dash to approx. 95kph, as i was travelling at this speed prior
All of a sudden my distance control unexpectedly stopped working, as if it had lost detection of the car in front, and my car quickly accelerated forward (going back up to 95kph set on the dash)
Luckily I was paying attention and managed to hit the brakes in time to avoid going up the arse of the car in front...
What should happen in this scenario if the distance control suddenly loses detection of the car in front it should deactivate the cruise control completely .
In summary torrential rain and distance control do not mix
