Has anyone tried to use the cool box for storage?

Yes. All the time.

We have the drop in tray the fits inside the top portion but still leave room below for chilled items. Works great.

I have the same nice little inexpensive tray $12 .. that 280driver linked… It accomplishes some ability to organize and doesn’t interfere with cooling feature .. No brainer ..

The cool box is small - but versatile enough for small storage ..

For larger storage having shelves and molle in the back cargo area is ideal.

Though as YL pointed out, the incremental gain from rear side Molle is limited at best.

Will post when this new cargo system is installed… hopefully before leaving on this trip with DJsled and NoNameX.
