Guess what vehicle this is out of.
Not sure if it's funny, apologies in advance. True story though..
Me (with the service advisor at the dealership for my 1k oil change): By the way, the platform rack wind noise is really loud, is there any way to make it more quiet?"
Advisor: "Its a large rack, it will be noisy"
Me: "Can you see the little rubber strip at the front of the rack? Maybe we need a larger strip to act as wind faring. Check if Lexus has any service bulletins on the rack noise?"
Advisor: "It will take Lexus at least a year before they normally start issuing service bulletins for these type of issues."
Me:" Sigh, "OK, it is what it is" and left ..
Me (later) answers a call from service advisor: " Hello?"
Service advisor: " about the roof rack, you mentioned it was noisy, do you want us to remove it for you?"
