Has anyone noticed a loose fee/sound in the front suspension when driving over rough pavement? I did and the dealer replaced the driver front strut. But I still feel like there's a looseness - almost like it sounds when there are worn ball joints - in the front end. I don't know if it's just a characteristic of the vehicle or another issue.

My 24 Overtrail feels ok, but when reversing into garage it clunks and groans like an old Pontiac. I’m going to ask service to check it during next service.

I kinda get what you’re saying but definitely no noise. Think its just a BoF characteristic

If the strut’s already replaced, it could be the sway bar end links, control arm bushings, or strut top mounts causing the looseness. Make sure all suspension bolts are properly tightened. Some road noise is normal but it shouldn’t sound like worn ball joints.

I also heard have them check steering rack it’s been an issue on the overtrails
My appointment is Tuesday NY should be dug out of the snow by then

Picked up my OT+ last month and have a noise from the drivers side that seems similar. How did your appointment go?
We had a snow storm the night before so the technician drove it but like super slow sort of heard it and felt it said to come back when it thaws out and he would check everything. This is what I feel when coasting between 30 and 40 and I steer right the steering wheel colum feels knocking and at the same speed over small bumps I hear something shaking

Mine has a similar feel - AND drives really well and feels tight. Just a little light jostle here and there - I think it's definitely a BOF characteristic!

I had a very similar experience with my 2024 Lux plus and it happened after there was a lot of snow and I drove over snow and probably got ice in the undercarriage as well and in the wheel wells. When it got cold the next day that’s when I started hearing all of the marbles on what appeared to be the right front passenger side suspension area. It went away after it got warmer and I’m assuming that some of the ice that was stuck in there melted that said this appears to be a pretty broad issue so I wonder what other people have done about it. I haven’t gone through any snow with my new 26 yet so I can report back if that happens.

My 2025 overtrail plus build date 11/25 is in service
the tech took it for a test drive I had him take it over bumps going 35mph
to hear the clunk in front end I also had him coast at 40 mph and turn wheel to the right at almost 3 o'clock
and feel a knocking in the steering wheel

after his test drive he heard the clunk and the steering wheel knock
and its been in for 2 days trying to determine cause
they said it could be 1 of 3 things but they need more time to figure out which thing
because Lexus needs proof before they give them free parts
so I am in a loaner they will continue service on Monday

2026 OT + with similar issues. I was told it was the sway bar. I had previously driven another OT + and the front suspension was tight. There are several posts on FB GX550 threads having the same loose fitting front suspension. My OT has then 150 miles so following this thread to make recommendations to my dealer on what to look for when I take it in.

As long as they hear it or feel it they should be able to figure it out. Chat GTP was helpful typing in symptoms give the car exact model and build date and it scans tons of data Then in order for the service department to get parts or bill the hours to Lexus for labor that’s where it’s time consuming and annoying… it’s like you going to the ER hey I’m sick and they say wait do you have health insurance fill this out nothing gets done till someone pays
