Just got my wife a 2026 white GX550 overtrail

Using it as incentive for her to recover from her accident. Back in June she fractured her C3 & C4 vertebrae. Recovery is a slow process buyt there is improvement.

So I do have a question:

I’ll be looking for height adjustable running boards or powered running boards.

Anybody have recommendations?

Congrats on the new ride! I'm considering the same change as the stock boards make it hard for my wife to get in and out. My off-roading is light/less challenging, so a switch to powered running boards may be the best solution for me.

I’m in the same boat so hopefully someone out there is experienced with either retractable running boards or height adjustable fixed running boards.
I did see the Go Rhino RB30 with drop steps looks attractive.
The steps are 4 inches lower than the running board height. The pick up bed texture (looks like Line-X covered) looks the safest, since it does provide grip when you step on it.
I am considering these but am waiting for either Black Friday sales or waiting to see if my wife progresses further.
