Hi all! (1 Viewer)

Exactly, not both. I'm paying 1k under msrp (no markups) with the military discount they are offering and I locked it in. Just starting to decide how I want to set up a fridge/food/cooking drawer system and storage in the back for camping - some options are quite expensive- open to suggestions.
A more affordable option to the ADGU system is this one from Colfax Campers in Denver: Platform Kit - Lexus GX 550

That is my truck in the pictures. Happy to show it off or answer questions if you are interested. They will also install at their shop if you are local.

I haven't really used it yet, but initial quality looks excellent—no shakes or rattles when driving around town. They use a good quality, lightweight plywood to save on weight. And I worked with them on the cut-outs to ensure access to the power supply and air compressor.

If you are not interested in the sleep platform, I might consider a different system or ask if they can build it at a lower height, since the drawers are pretty large to be level for the sleep platform.

Welcome! I love my OT and the build process was a lot of fun. Your going to love yours too. Nice color

Great info! It appears you’ve done far more research than me ,even though I thought I watched enough YouTube!

I guess I’m going to just have to see as the purchase has been made and I might have made the wrong decision?

I appreciate all the in-depth reply. I’ll keep you updated of how it all sorts out. :)
Sounds good. I hope it works for your purpose - this is what matters. And looking forward to any update. Hopefully, you get your rig today or tomorrow.

I don't mean to sound like Monday morning quarterback after the fact with so much info. Not my intention. Just trying to share info. I would say a lot of times I suffer from paralysis from analysis. lol But really more so about making sure my very limited mod funds are really effective especially for big ticket items.

I feel all of your info is very helpful and that's why I am here on the forum. There's lot's of knowledgeable peeps beyond my experience( and certainly overland experience).

We each have our own use-case and needs and I am excited to start the Journey and build this out!.

p.s. Instead of a new thread........ how about a couple low-key " it arrived" photos? Here she is! OT+ AS w/ Chateau. Home safe and sound. NO markups , no BS and no add-on rack, crossbars etc. Window tint tomorrow and sherpa rack goes on Wednesday! I'm stoked. No hood flutter, drove like a dream.

Nice rig

Easy access and it opens fine. There’s an extra flap that you can tie to make sure when raining there is not a gap with the tailgate closed. I can open it almost to full without it hitting the final bar and the spoiler does not get in a way overall I’m very happy with the purchase and it works as intended.

Can you post some close up photos with different angles with the tailgate open.

Also, what brackets did you use to mount the awning?
