I just got rid of my INEOS Grenadier and picked up a lightly used 24' GX 550 OT+. IMO the INEOS is one of the coolest looking SUV's on the road, but the build quality was terrible. I had to have the HVAC unit replaced, radiator replaced, power steering pump sounded like a dentist drill, door seals delaminated, numerous false check engine lights, and the list goes on. The other frustration is the lack of service network. My local dealer only had 1 service advisor and 1-2 mechanics. I just can't see the business model sustaining.

My wife had a Lexus LX 570 for many years and we never had any issues, which is what led me back to the brand with the GX. I understand there's an engine recall, but the overall build quality is far superior than many other brands. I'm looking forward to learning more about the GX through the forum.

I have a love/hate with Ineos. Would you ever consider buying another as a second or third vehicle? Trying to figure out real downtime. I’m sure all of your issues were warranty. Was dealer support pretty good?

GX OT+ on order for me. I am keeping my Grenadier at this point and am seriosuly considering making it the trail rig. I haven't had any trouble with it all except for a couple leaks at the rear window. I will most likely add the skid plates underneath for some protection, diff guards, and a few other bits. I think it will be a suitable trail rig, provided no issues we all hear about occur. Mine is a 2024, manufacture date Jan 2024.

I had a love hate relationship the whole time I owned it. It is a very capable purpose built rig. Strangers were always coming up to me asking about the INEOS. I have a couple of cars, but used the INEOS as my daily. I honestly could not recommend the INEOS. There are just too many reliability issues. All of my issues were covered under warranty. I just hate making multiple trips to the dealer within the calendar year. I'm also a bit jaded right now ha.

I'm happy to hear you haven't run into any other issues. Mine was also a Jan 24' build. Unfortunately, I had every issue discussed in the Grenadier forums. Definitely sounds like you have a very suitable trail rig on your hands. Fingers crossed!

Totally get it. I also consider trading it in on the GX, paid $92 plus TT&L, so all out about $98k. I am sure on trade they might give me $50k, this is why I have decided to keep it as the trail rig. Again, I have nmot had any issues of any significance at all whatsoever; so I have a differing perspective. I suffer with a similar stress with the GX and engine recall, but I have had too many Toyotas that have been abused and just kept on going, and going, and going, and going. We will find out what ends up with the V35A engine. I really hope that they have remedied everything with the 2026 model. I’ll post back once I decide what to do with the Gren for sure, but right now, I would say I am about a 90% keeper on the thing and making it the trail rig. My 2020 Land Cruiser HE was totaled by a crazy woman on her phone back in September, he insurer paid out $81,100, which is light but it is what it is.
