What do you guys think of this light setup? Powerful white light as well as Amber DRL backglow.

Fits 2024 2025 2026 Lexus GX550

Fits models: GX550 Premium, GX550 Luxury. GX550 Overtrail
  • Installs behind the lower grille
  • Must remove whole front grille for installation
  • DOES NOT affect cooling of the radiator
  • DOES NOT interfere with active shutters
  • Metal bracket is powder coated black
  • No cutting or drilling required. The kit is a complete bolt on using factory openings and hardware.
Choose your light bar color:

1) White LED -- Up to 11,760 lumens, bright and powerful. It will definitely provide you with enough light needed for all of your adventures. However, these are only for off-roading and can’t be used on the regular road. They will blind the in-coming traffic and also violates road safety.

2) Amber LED -- Up to 5,500 lumens, used in poor driving conditions such as dust, fog, snow and rain. It reflects through air particles much less than the white light. Therefore, making it ideal for poor driving conditions.

3) dual function: main White LED light with Amber DRL backglow -- the white LED light is same as described above, but the amber DRL “daytime running lights” acts purely for aesthetics. It doesn’t give out much light, but more of a beautiful amber backglow. Since it doesn’t give out much light, you can use this amber DRL feature on regular roads, it doesn't blind in-coming traffic.

Just bought it, build quality is great. Will need to install it after my switch arrives!

I too am keen to know how much 'effort' is required to install, and how much difference there is above normal high beam (or Brights I think you call them over there).
Not keen on pulling the front off a brand new car for not a lot of gain. We do a lot of night driving over long distances and wildlife is the biggest hazard we have here in Aus.
We don't get our GX for another few months, but lights are going to be an important topic when we get it. We're getting the 'Sports Luxury', which for us is top of the line, apparently it has 'High Grade' LED's in the headlights where the OT and the Luxury have just LED headlights... no idea what the difference is.

I saw you have Bronco Aux wiring on your channel too. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the pros/cons on the Aux system from Toyota and Ford.
Oh ford is much easier to use. There are hot pigtails that you just get a crimp connector and connect to. Extremely easy. Don’t know what Lexus engineers were thinking

I'm surprised the truck doesn't come with pigtails on a matching connector. I thought the Tacomas have that. I didn't think the GX would be different until I saw your (excellent) breakdown.

There is a surprising lack of good info on the 2025 GX so far
