Hi all,

I just wanted to put an ear to the ground to see what everyone is using to clean their interior on wash day. I've stepped away from ArmorAll years ago as I understood that it wasn't that good for the longevity of your interior leather & other parts (please correct me if I'm misinformed).

What are you folks using to clean your leather? Infotainment/dash screens? Dash & door paneling?

Thanks!

I use a swiffer on the infotainment for dust.

Mild chemical guys interior cleaning wife’s for the rest.

Swiffer for dust too + microfiber washcloth with warm water for the leather seats and other plastic like areas. I have a no food/drink (except water) rule too  in my cars.

Same as the above, a swiffer for dusting. I love using crocodile wipes for scuffs/grime and general cleaning. For big jobs, I go to my meguiars paint/dash/glass or all surface interior. The seats I clean with meguiars ultimate leather.

I have no food and drink in some of my cars. The GX is my designated family abuse mobile

Big fan of Griots Garage. I use their interior Detailer and Cleaner. They keep the fragrance to a min and the finish is very natural.

Start using mild (pH neutral cleaners), such as Koch Chemie Pol Star (dilutable, 1:10). You can apply a dressing on top if you wish, but stay away from glossy dressings. Proper dressing should leave the finish looking matte, dry, and has anti-static and uv inhibiting properties. I have a detailing YouTube channel (Bruce's Garage) if you’re interested.

Here is what I use.... and it's always on charge using the rear seat USBC charging port. I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I only use Dihydrogen Monoxide on a damp cloth to clean most everything in my vehicles and around my house.

I stopped using Armor-All years ago. Most chemical cleaners do more damage than good. Not good for most surfaces.

I've had luck with Simple Green on everything except glass and upholstery.

There are three or four pages in the owner's manual that specifically tell you what to do for the interior, under "Cleaning and protecting the vehicle interior."

But I still like the Chris Fix videos on 1) how to clean your interior, link, and 2) how to clean carpets and headliners, link. The first video has 14 million views, I probably account for about 10 or 15 of them. It's a bit too much if your interior is not extra, super dirty.

I come back over and over because it's inspiring and motivating, if a really dirty interior can be made to look so clean then I can get motivated to clean up the dust and lint in mine.

GRIOTs Interior cleaner. No greasy streaks, zero odor. Been using it for years, on all of my vehicles .
