I would like to remove the front license plate plinth to attach the plate straight to the car for a clean look. I have purchased an acrylic slimline plate that measures 372mm wide and 100mm high. I dont have the car yet and was hoping to get some dimensions from this forum.
I believe there is an offset between the top and bottom part of the bumper and will need fillers to fix the license plate flat. Can someone tell me what the offset is? Any recommendations for fillers and fixtures?

I have a Luxury. Please see the pics below. Personally I like the plinth as it fits the bumper, etc. shape to provide a straight and strong mount for the license plate (not sure how large are the Aussie ones though...). The top of the plinth is 3/4 of an inch thick and the bottom is 1/2 inch thick. Hope this helps!

Thats exactly what I was looking for. So a 6mm offset should work. Thanks heaps!!
The plinth in Aus looks similar to yours but my plate is only 100mm high and only covers about 3/4 of the plinth. Looks a bit like in the picture below which I am not a fan of.

Spoke to my Lexus dealer today and gave me this company details flowbracket.com.au there is nothing on there site for the GX, but if we talk to them maybe they can start make some. My Sport Luxury expected delivery date about the 26 of February

I did speak to flow brackets. They recently fixed plates onto a GX with their existing bracket and some 3M adhesive tape. I am not a fan of adhesive tapes especially on acrylic plates as they could easily damage the plate. "Plate Brackets " have some brackets with end locks but they dont give you a clean look. Thinking of getting custom cut PE bracket.

I put insulation closed cell foam tape on the back of the plate then two toggle bolts through the lower grill. Ended up cutting the bolts down about half size since I couldn't find 1.5" at home depot.

Dealership uses self-tapping screws into the bumper. See page 5 of Pre-Delivery Service.

If you're expecting delivery, tell them NOT TO or else you're left with holes when you remove the plinth. You'd have to use bumper plugs to fill the holes left behind.

I declined the plinth install and simply used toggle bolts through the grill slates.

Bought plate brackets from Plate bracket Co. Painted them with Sonic Quartz to match the colour. Thinking of installing a 6mm PE strip to bridge the gap in front after removing the plinth.
Thank you. Is there a gap and can we request dealer in Australia not to install plinth?
Have you got yours delivered?

Apparently the car comes to the dealership with the plinth installed. I am expecting delivery by next week. The bottom part of the bumper seems to be raised by 5mm. Will confirm that when I get the car.

thank you.
How long did it take for you from landing at the port to delivery?

This is how it looks finally. 6mm marine grade nylon backing plate did the trick.

Looks much clean now

Where did you get that 6mm marine grade nylon backing plate from?
Does the QLD plate attach directly to it?
Got a large sheet from a local plastic supplier and cut it to size to suit.
Drilled 2 holes to fit the bracket from plate bracket Co.
