Loose Fuel Door (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone!

I noticed that my fuel door doesn't stay fully open. This happens whether I hang the fuel tank cap on it or not. The door feels floppy/loose when fully open (when at 90 degree with the body of the truck). Any slight wind or push would cause it to move to close. I recall seeing something similar here but I searched the forum and couldn't find anything. Anyone with a similar issue? Any fixes?

Mine is the same. Brought it up with dealer. Unfortunately seems to be the design. Meaning, it’s a feature and no remedy.

Lexus know how to design a proper fuel door/mechanism. Our 2023 RX is a different design and works just as you’d expect. Not sure why the GX and RX teams can’t share a fuel door design.

I do feel the hinge opens a little light but never be loose. That is been said, I truly wish Toyota could give us a electric fuel door instead this cable releasing door.
