Could anyone explain how to lower the headlights of GTX550? Due to the lift for the front, I want to adjust/lower the headlights.
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Anyone, any idea of how much turn/rotation might give how much height change?? I am just looking for a guideline.... When I started turning, I did not see much difference I could make, even though I did not turn much.

One tip...maybe park it against a wall next to another new or somewhat new vehicle that also has LED headlamps. Then, you can just adjust yours to match the other vehicle's height on the wall. Only thing that may differ is angle, so you still need to be at the proper distance away.

It took "awhile" to lower them down. I don't remember the exact #as I had my wife counting while I was lowering. You could also use your phone to video and count after. I marked 20ft from the garage door and a horizontal line on the garage door at 44'' with masking tape and did the adjustments just as the manual stated.

I see..., and thank you for the info. This makes me feel better as I become almost unsure if I was doing right since there was no change I could see on the height when I was turning it down. I guess I did not rotate enough then. Thanks again!

Another tip is to find a lower level (dark area) in a parking garage and measure out the 20-feet from the wall on a flat area of the garage. Then slap some tape up 44" on the wall and do your thing. This is how I always aim in my auxiliary lights. My driveway is sloped upwards so I can't do it at home.

Just to be sure, one side (left or right) has only one bolt we need to turn correct? The manual shows two bolts for one side.... seems like, but I saw only one bolt for each side!? It's confusing...... Any help from anyone? I was actually turning quite a bit, but it didn't seem to be changing the height at all. Any help from anyone? Thanks in advance!

There are 2 adjustment bolts...one towards the center of the car and one closer to the fender for each light.

The ones closer to the center are for vertical and the outer ones are L/R alignment. There are markings on the front plastic shield in the engine bay

I adjusted mine downward a while ago. I parked with the headlights 20 feet from a vertical wall and I marked 44" on the wall with some tape. The driver's side headlight is set a bit lower than the passenger side from the factory and I kept mine that way. I assume the driver's side is a bit lower to account for oncoming traffic approaching on the driver's side in this country. I adjusted mine to about 42" above ground level and they are still too high - people still occasionally flashed their brights at me. I need to lower them another inch or two.

I'm going to adjust mine later today and I'll grab some pics of the vertical adjustment bolts. I just reach in there behind the headlights with my right-angle socket driver and slowly make a few turns and you can watch the light creep downwards.

I dropped my headlights down a bit more. Look for the gray plastic bolt-head behind each headlight, about the middle of eachheadlight (see arrow below). As munkeeboi mentioned above, there is a second set of gray bolt-heads out towards the outer edge of the headlights but apparently these outer bolts are for side-to-side headlight adjustment (I haven't touched those).

Clockwise lowers the headlights. Just a few slow turns are all that's needed. The bolt-head is 8mm.
