Lexus just released the new TZ 450e - a 3 row electric SUV - with some design cues reminiscent of the GX - but more suited to urban driving with a 300 mile charge electric AWD range.

Anyone else thinking of adding one of these to their garage?

I just put my name down for the new. 2027 TZ to replace 3 high mileage gasoline vehicles being retired from our home fleet.

This will be our first electric vehicle of ANY KIND.

GX-esque front end of the new TZ 3-row SUV.

Toyota version (2027 electric Highlander) will also be a great vehicle for its intended purpose.

The TZ however, has a very similar GX “baby brother” look, that I think will draw a number of GX owners to this electric option.

Hope Atomic Silver is one of their release colors ..

I might be in the minority but this looks bad. Cross between a VW Atlas and a Kia Telluride topped off with shrek ears for mirrors.

Good review.

Could I please get your honest opinion of this model?

on the plus side, since you havent had a tesla, you won't be immediately disappointed by the lexus ev.

My whole handle here is about how I'm trading in an EV for the GX and going back to ICE. We are still keeping on an electric car, but I'm a bit relieved as the Rivian was our travel car, and EVs add extra difficulty to a road trip that I'll no longer have to deal with.

stopping at walmart in madisonville in my eqs580 was terrible enough, there was a poor guy in a lucid whose charging system wouldnt work

at least with tesla i can stop at any buccees and i've never had any issues, and you get fsd too.

I'm very intrigued by the Scout Harvester since it will have a 4cyl ICE specifically for charging while driving and supposedly have a 500 mile range. I like the look a lot, but with how limited the service centers will be and a brand new offering, I'm definitely not getting out of the GX for one.
