New Tires!!! 285/70 r 18 (9 Viewers)

Did you change the spare to match? If so, any pictures of how far down it hangs?

My OEMs are about to wear out and I can't decide between the 285/70 vs. 275/70 Toyos.

This is a 33.7 diameter cooper R/T tire in the spare well. It’s a 11.1” wide. As you can see not much different than OEM.

Would be great to hear from some folks that have used the bigger tire off road under articulation to see if there is any rubbing/

I have yet to run into any issues but I’m not rock crawling either. More trail/over-landing with small rocks/boulders, wash outs, etc. To be honest I wouldn’t take my GX on aggressive trails (I like it too much to beat up )…that’s for the Jeep.
