Will a 285/70/18 tire (Toyota Open Country AT3) fit on a premium+ trim with stock suspension without any cutting or trimming?

Wheels are 18x8 +20 offset

Currently running 275/70/18 and there is no rubbing at all. But unsure if 285s would make a difference or not.

Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Yes, I and some others have a Prem+ with OEM Overtrail wheels with 285/70R18 tires, mine are Nittos which are the same size as the Toyos. No modifications, no rubbing. You'll have to go to an E Load tire unless you choose Falkens, which are C Load but are very heavy. There was another thread here.

Will fit but honestly I am not sure if the increase in stiffer sidewall or weight penalty is worth the half an inch if you’re just driving around on pavement.

Would almost make more sense to level the front and go with a 295/70/18 as you can get it in an SL. Again, this being the case if it’s just on pavement mostly.

275/70/18 toyos only come in an E load correct? Appreciate the help guys.
Comes in an SL as well that weighs 45lbs. It’s what I run.

Post pics if you decide to go with this setup. I'm planning to run this exact tire size and wheel spec too (285/70/18 with 18x8 +20), but on an Overtrail trim.

Ah… the EV AT3

Is there a big difference with ride quality between E and SL?
I would say yes. You’re comparing a 4 ply to a 10 ply tire. I had 10 ply on my GX470 and did m not enjoy the ride. The sidewall is stiffer, it’s a heavier tire, and more vibrations/ noise typically gets carried into the cabin.

Some may not care much about that but my vehicle spends 95% of its driving on asphalt where the 4 ply is a superior driving experience. E rated definitely has its perks off-road.

My next upgrade will more than likely be a C load tire they will be somewhere between the SL and E.
