Can the rear seat be removed for more room? Just picked mine up friday.

Just tried to determine if the rear seat is removable and i dont think that it is. Not easily anyway. It has a goofy tether to hold up the seat when folded that attaches to the hand hold.

I am thinking of pulling the rear seats out of an OT also. If anyone has done it, was it straightforward and were you able to override the electronic messages about the rear seats?

I’m befuddled that so many people want to keep removing additional seats from the over trail / OT plus…

IMHO - it already comes short the 3rd row seats - which I myself would’ve loved to have, with manual (not electric) deployment.

I guess if one is going for a completely customized camper style modification of the vehicle, or pricey use as a cargo vehcile - then it makes sense .. but probably if sleeping space is the issue, the better way to go would be adding a rooftop tent..

In that regard, if anybody is looking for a Alu-cab RTT in black - I’m selling mine.

My hope of hopes is that someday someone will make the 3rd row seat addition as an aftermarket modification. Fingers crossed

I'm one of the few that would prefer a 2-seater if it were an option. Frankly, there isn't a lot of space even with the rear seats removed. Battery system and storage units take up much of the space reclaimed from seat removal. And I actually have a RTT on the roof.

The good news is that like to use the truck for different things. I rarely carry people but often take my golden doodle in the back, so the open floor makes more sense for me.
