CBI GX550 Front Bumper.
Having attended the Overland Expo in Loveland this past summer, I evaluated a number of front bumper options with two contenders topping out the list; The Dissent Offroad bumper and the CBI GX550 Front Bumper. I chose the CBI front bumper prioritizing the ease of install and requiring less cutting of the front facia while recognizing the approach angle would be less with the CBI vs the Dissent version.
What I didn't fully appreciate is that the CBI bumper makes no allowance for accessing the winch clutch until after I purchased but while waiting for delivery. Had I realized that, I most certainly would have ordered the Dissent bumper instead. Because of the inability to access the clutch without cutting a gapeing whole in the front grill, I was forced to purchase a version of the Warn winch that allowed for remote clutch engagement/disengagement, the Warn Zeon XP 10-S, which has bluetooth capability to operate from a smart phone. I prefer an old school approach to manually disengaging the clutch to run out winch line.
Also, the fit and finish of the CBI front bumper leaves a gap on the extreme corners, almost as though the wings sag out on the ends. I could have shimmed out the wings, but then gaps would have been noticeable near the center piece.
Here are some pics of the CBI bumper installed with the Warn winch:

I have purchased a number of items from CBI/Prinsu over the years and for different vehicles as well as a number of items for this specific build. Until I installed this CBI GX550 bumper, I have been quite pleased with the all the products purchased from CBI. I plan to purchase the Dissent Offroad front bumper to replace this CBI bumper later this year.
