Like you are able to in other Toyota hybrids, can either the current gx or the upcoming hybrid run AC and/or heat without the engine running? So in a car camping situation, the climate control can be set, run off the battery and run the engine for short periods to keep enough charge in the hybrid battery to run the climate control?

The 2024 GX550's climate control will only run when the engine is running, or when the electric accessory setting is activated by pushing the start button without your foot on the brake pedal. But the climate control will only blow ambient air if the engine isn't running (no AC or heat except for whatever heat is in the system). I'd also think that running the vents without the engine running will zap the battery power pretty quickly.
