Howdy y'all! New 2026 GX550 Premium + coming to Atlanta in March 2026. Incognito / Saddle tan.

I'm thinking about a professionally installed PPF on forward-facing surfaces (front bumper, headlight, hood, side mirror etc), then having a ceramic treatment applied on top of that.
Also going to have the windows IR heat treatment tint(?) protection.

*Has anyone else done the PPF and Ceramic treatments, and how are you liking the results? Good idea or regrets? What else (alternative) do you recommend?

Thanks for the info & peace be with you!

mine is in the shop right now getting STEK gloss ppf. 100% coverage. He’s going to ceramic over it but he also said the PPF also has hydrophobic properties. My first time doing this so I’m sure I’ll learn from my first attempt. I’ll pick it up Sunday and share pics and thoughts.

I have done full front PPF and don’t regret it as it’s saved me a few times already.

There are a few threads on ppf on this site and don’t think anyone regrets it besides the potentially cost associated. It’s also not something where I would cheap out and who does the work on it. Make sure it’s a reputable place with a good warranty.

Ceramic is something that I can personally live without. I really like taking care of my own car and use Griots three in one ceramic wax. While it doesn’t offer the long-term staying power of ceramic, I would rather put that money into something else and touch up every 6 months.

If you’ve got the disposal income, I don’t think you can go wrong with either, but I would definitely prioritize PPF over ceramic

I agree, I wouldn’t have gone with ceramic if the price wasnt right, can always come back to that later if I change my mind. Same with tinting, I have never had a tinted vehicle so I’ll save that for another day to spread the cost out a bit. Then again, we will see how I feel when I pick it up.
