I hate to sound like a dummy asking this, as I grew up on a farm in TN working on equipment and driving lots of different vehicles on many different surfaces (including cow dung). I've also done a quite a bit of rally driving in mud, snow, and ice.
All that said, we're now in the Denver area full-time, after moving from Austin. On my wife's car I have a separate wheel/tire set that are 3-Peak snow-rated. What I'm unclear about is whether or not I need something more aggressive than the factory Toyos, on my OT+, to handle the SuperMegaEl-Nino Winter we're supposed to be facing. I'm attaching a couple of options from TireRack, below.
I'd appreciate the advice of the Forum. My main concern is avoiding "that guy" on the road who's ill-equipped to handle the conditions. I'd like the best performance, in severe weather, to avoid the clowns...
