Hi! I was trying to install a screen protector last night and noticed that there’s a thin built-in protector that came with my 2025 OT. What about yours? Is there an official way to remove it so I can install a tempered glass protector?

You talking about the flimsy one from factory? Just rip it off. They should have done this during PDI/Dealer prep

Yeah, mine came with it. I thought the screen had an artifact because the corner started lifting. Didn't realize it was there and it was never removed during the PDI.

Mine came with it on... and I have yet to remove it... waiting to see what I'll be replacing it with

Use a piece of tape on the edge to remove it. If there is anyone in the LA area, I have some extra tempered glass protectors I can give out for free.

Yes, and removed during delivery. We have installed the OCD Plug protector, and while pricey, it really cuts the glare and is not as susceptible to finger prints.

I had the same issue. Gave me a quick heart attack thinking I messed up the screen. I'm looking to get a quality screen protector at the moment. I'm quite cautious, I remember a family member having a screen protector on their car which baked in the sun and ate up the top layer of the screen. I'm not sure if Lexus has a recommendation that's been tested.

I didn’t even realize it was there. I saw scratches on my screen and was really pissed off as I only have 1k miles and then noticed the tiny cutout in the top right. Turns out it was just scratches on the plastic. Usually there should be some sort of tab so you know to remove it.

It's not a screen protector in the typical sense - it was there for transport. It should have been removed by the dealer.

Mine didn't get removed either. Like others stated, I thought the screen was messed up and delaminating. I haven't removed it though, I figured something is better than nothing. I may look at the no glare ones mentioned above.

I believe mine was already removed by delivery day. I don’t see one on there..
