Went out and shot with RRW for the contents of their Upper Control Arms! Should have some video share with you guys shortly

Sorry guys for the lack of updates!

The GX is now installed with Dobinson MRR 3 Ways along with RRW Upper Control Arms. My new wheels came at the same time so I upgrade the tires to 35s as well. Here are some pictures to share!

I have about 1,000 miles on the Dobinson suspension so far. Since this is the first MRR kit installed on the GX, we encountered some minor installation issues, which were resolved after working with Dobinson. Their customer support was great—thanks, Dave! Due to the Overtrail being equipped with EKDSS, the original location to mount the reservoirs recommended by Dobinson for the LC250 didn’t work. We installed the reservoirs in front of the tires and wedged them behind the front of the fender liner. So far, I haven't experienced any rubbing issues with the 35-inch tires; there are about two finger-widths of space between the tires and reservoirs when in full lock. I haven’t had the time to take the car off-road yet, so I can't comment on whether it will cause any rubbing issues during that type of activity.

As for the Relations Race Wheel (RRW) billet upper control arms, they are a high-quality component and add extra flair to the build! The completely sealed uni-ball is quiet and requires very little maintenance since it’s sealed and doesn’t need frequent greasing. While billet upper control arms are pricey, you get what you pay for. I would 100% recommend them!

I also purchased the ICON adjustable track bar to help center the axle. During my first alignment, I faced numerous issues. Most alignment shops don’t have the proper alignment specs for the GX, and after getting the car back, the rear end felt like it was swerving left and right when I accelerated quickly from a dead stop. The adjustable track bar should help resolve this issue.

Last but not least, I upgraded to new wheels and tires! My previous setup with stock tires was fine, but I really wanted to go with 35s. I designed a new set of wheels with true beadlocks. This time, I’m running 18x8.5 with a +35 offset, paired with Toyo Open Country R/T 35x12.5R18 tires. I do experience slight rubbing when I reverse while turning the wheel to the left. I believe a slight caster adjustment should eliminate the rubbing issue.

I plan to take the car to Cleghorn OHV in the upcoming weeks as soon as my work schedule settles down. I will share more pictures and videos whenever I can.

Cheers, everyone, and happy holidays!
Awesome! My MRRs are coming next week. What diff drop kit did you use? And did you have to do links/spacers for the eKDSS setup? For mine, I ordered from Icon their tubular UCAs, diff drop, and adjustable panhard bar. Very curious to know how the on-road ride/feel changed with your setup.

I am actually not running any diff drop kit at the moment. No issue or any modification done to the EKDSS set up.
Size of those wheels! 😀👍
18x8.5 ET35 :)
