Has a nice growl and the price is right, but sounds like it might drone. Definitely a BIG NO to the straight back tip version.

I like that sound. Maybe detecting a bit of a drone at highway cruising speed, hard to really tell. The microphone picks up noises differently than your ears. I'll have to cruise along with my radio off and see if I can even detect my stock exhaust. I keep hearing ads for Performance Muffler on the radio and I was thinking of stopping by there to see what they'd recommend. I had a Borla on my 2004 V8 Discovery and it was perfect.

I'm coming to the conlusion that it's pretty easy to make a v8 sound good, but it's huge chalenge for a 6. It's possible with a really high performance engine or a lot of dolars invested in the exhaust. But chances of a bolt-on kit for a 6 cyl SUV sounding good seem slim.

I had a Magnaflow for literally 1 day and had it taken off. This engine does NOT sound good with an aftermarket exhaust, imo. It sounds fake and disconnected to the engine. I had a V8 2021 Cayenne GTS and probably had unrealistic expectations. That engine and exhaust blended well via sound and throttle.

seems like the 6-cylinder just can’t compete with a V8 in the sound department. Has anyone tried tweaking mid-pipes or resonators to cut down on drone but still keep that beefy tone? Feels like there’s gotta be some sort of happy medium without dropping a ton on a full setup.
