We ran Schofield Pass from Marble to Crested Butte on August 7th. There are some VERY narrow sections right now due to some erosion. This is a challenging trail with lots of exposure and some challenging obstacles. Not for the faint of heart! 3/4 of the way up we came to a standstill for an offroad tow truck working to retrieve a Land Cruiser from the bottom of the creek. We ended up waiting about 3 hours and then completed the trail once they decided to regroup another day for the recovery.
