No offense to anyone in this thread, but I've never been a fan of the look of these visors. Are they popular in certain parts of the country for specific weather related reasons? I'm genuinely curious about the need for them.

No Not really. The reason I installed them is that I like the natural airflow into the cabin during summer. However, when I‘m driving at around 40 mph, if the window is half-open, the glass tends to shake. So, I use the visors as a way to improve aerodynamics (not sure if that really works, I’ll see). Also, I know that for smokers, these are pretty much essential.

I’m assuming they take the place of vent windows in the modern day? Not sure, I’ve never used these on a car.

I just installed them on my car. The process was fairly easy and took me about half an hour.

My latest 60850 order from Longo placed on 3/03/25 was marked yesterday as back-ordered with no updated time frame. LOL. I decided to wait it out this time so we will see when this part becomes available again in the US.

Lexus Parts Outlet on line states they have the 08162-60850 part in stock on sale for 121.00. Anyone bought from them in the past?

it's a reputable online place to order from, but they might email you back that the item is out of stock. Their inventory is not live.

Just an update...My Longo Lexus order was cancelled after 3-4 months of waiting. So I ordered with Lexuspartsnow.com and they voided the order after finding out the part number is on indefinite back order. I guess I'm stuck over paying for the Japanese version on ebay...SUCKS!

You must've bought when they were still available. No more statewide stock for the US part number. I ordered a set off ebay from Japan.

I just bought the toyota version, which is in stock. Only difference is that its stamped toyota instead of lexus

LOL they are only sold from a Toyota dealer. I guess all Toyota dealers are not trustworthy

In February I tried to order the Lexus window visors from LexusPartsNow.com. My order was immediately cancelled: "The ordered part(s) have been discontinued (no longer available) and/or is backordered with no ETA date by the manufacture."

Then in June I tried to order 2 sets of the Toyota visors from 2 different vendors, Toyota Parts Express and a Toyota dealership...I think it was a Florida dealership but can't recall and can't find the emails. Both orders were cancelled and the purchase was credited back to me within a week or so. I did speak directly with the parts department at one of the dealerships and the guy said that they are showing permanent back order. He said that when he sees this in the system, it usually means that there is a problem with the product and it is permanently suspended until fixed. He went on to say that he couldn't think of a problem with a simple plastic window visor...maybe a fitment issue or something?

I've kind of given up the quest for these sun visors. Not sure if I'd really be happy with them anyway. I love the idea of being able to park in the hot sun and have my windows open an inch or so but still covered by the visor. Would also be great when camping in the truck. But I don't know if I want to look at the visors from the driver's seat.
