I agree Bluegill - it sounds like malarky - more likely if they are getting an extra 30 min it’s due to new software / battery management system.

Magnetic mount
The mount is simple and sturdy. I have two. I removed the magnets from the first and bolted it directly to the roof rack on my 200 Series Land Cruiser. Swapped three thumb screws for 10mm bolts which are used to remove the Mini from the bracket. The magnets are strong and "rubberized". The 4 removed magnets are very useful for other things. The second mount, using the magnets is on the GX.
Rhetorically speaking, I'm not too worried about theft for many reasons. For one, I'm not sure a thief you could use it given the serial number and registration process. Plus, much easier to pick one up off the ground at a campsite or RV park these days. Finally I assume they are all going to be obsolete in a few years when your "phone" directly connects to the satellites.

Thanks for your post 48Njim. Just ordered the 8 magnet version to see how strong it is on my PPF’d rooftop, and to see if fits well enough between the round cross bars of my particular roof rack.
It appears I have 3 options, but I may end up ordering a flat plate from my roof rack guy to install on. That would raise it up slightly helping improve signal, and give me more flexibility on exactly where to mount it over time.

peakdo is nice, only thing I dont really like is it uses a generic web-based interface instead of a real app. web-interface works well to turn on/off the power to starlink remotely and check battery status. have the starlink mini with the suction cup mount to sunroof on passenger side. Easy to take off and hide it when parked in "questionable" city areas.
Yes, thank you, 48Njim for posting the link to your mag mount. That looks perfect, but I have decide if I'm going to use the peakdo battery - if yes, then I need to find a mount that works with the peakdo. Too many options out there!
I did a test install today with the Starlink Mini, and the 8 magnet version of 48Njim’s mount. I also tested the Joyroom 5m length cigarette lighter adapter, which worked fine.
I was able to pull a good download speed while driving around my neighborhood at about 25mph.
I may order the Peakdo LinkPower 2 battery and see just how bad the non-fit issue is.
It doesn’t look good..but I’ll explore a couple ideas once I can see it up close.
