Surfers Hiding a Key or Locking Rig while in the water. (5 Viewers)

Being that this vehicle doesn’t come w a waterproof key I’m curious to know what surfers are doing to lock their rig while in the water. If you hide the fob on the vehicle I’m assuming anyone can open a locked door due to the proximity of the fob. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

UPDATE - As I read the Owners Manual Quick Guide I see that each fob has a removable key, but wondering if the key is with me away from the vehicle will the proximity of the fob to the vehicle allow opening of the door.
