Hello,

We have an allocated GX that just arrived at the dealer. Specifically a Nori Green Prem+.

What things should I be looking for before accepting delivery? Specifically for GX or Lexus/Toyota.

The two that I am recalling are excessive hood flutter and brakes squealing while backing up.

I will also use a generic checklist that you want to do for any car.

look for any paint damage on the hood from the protective shipping film. Will come across as a hazy line(s) on the hood. You may need bright lights and multiple viewing angles to see it.

Check that everything is there from the window sticker or what is shown under the VIN# from the dealer. I also always check the body for small dings, etc. as some are caused when they truck the car from the port of entry. Also, if you want anything else extra to be installed (3M film, etc.), I always to do that before the delivering for the same reasons as above.

The hood flutter for me is very minor, the squeak is minor and only in reverse so enjoy your new ride. I've had my Premium plus since May and absolutely love it. My dealer fixed the brakes (immediatly) once I made them aware of the issue. I changed my oil at 1000 miles and again at 5K since it is a new engine and will now follow the 10K service as directed.
Review all of the safety settings with your salesperson or their tech consultant.
Congrat's... don't let minor issues override the impressive overall build. It's a Lexus
