First off… this is such an incredible group of people, owners, and humans. Willing to help, take photos, talk through issues and just be a voice of reason…so while it was a short love affair I wanted to say thank you to the group.

The truck/car…is amazing. Although I got 22/23 MPG it was still too costly for me to keep as a daily driver. Not that I couldn’t afford it…I didn’t want to afford it.

I have crossed over into the dark side… and so far with 700 miles on it and almost 2 months of ownership, I am really liking it. (the new car)

I will say… this car HOLDS VALUE. Tesla gave me (ready for this) $5,000 more for the GX than I actually paid for it and I paid $0 tax on the new car. Tesla actually owed me money. BUT, the value of the new car I am SURE dropped tremendously the second I left the parking lot.

I am posting my brandy new LUX Rims/Tires w/TPMS sensors in the FS section if anyone is interested.

I say this as someone who isn't a huge Tesla fan (CarPlay, please): Trading a GX in for $5k more would be something I'd have to seriously consider. I'm happy you found one that fits your needs better. Congrats on the car and have a great Holiday.

on my commute I only get ~18-19, I would love 23

Glad it worked out for you Dave. I ended up getting a similar deal in the trade for my Defender. While I didn't get $5k above sticker, I did get exactly what I paid for my GX in trade value, even with 1700 miles on the odometer. It speaks well to Lexus value preservation and demand.

While I didn't get along with my GX, it's still a good truck for many.
