TPMS sensor malfunction after wheel swap? (1 Viewer)

I did try going to press through the menus a couple of times before going to the dealer and asking them to program the new TPMS. It wasn't immediate and they said I should drive around and it would eventually register them. No luck so far.
I'd probably recommend disabling the learning process, waiting at least 15 minutes with the vehicle off, then starting the learning process once you're in drive. I think that's your best shot.

Same with the wheels I bought, but kind member DaveK was upfront about it. Sorry to hear about that disappointment.

Cheap rubber valve stems will be wiggly when you try to bend them, whereas genuine TPMS valve stems are pretty stiff and unbendable. Other than that, I think it's pretty hard to tell if you have TPMS sensors
I'm dropping the GX off at the dealership at 7:00 am tomorrow morning. Hopefully they get the issue resolved. They're supposed install the OEM TMPS sensors. Hopefully all goes well.

If you're getting Genuine Toyota sensors installed at a Lexus or Toyota dealer, they can program them for you immediately without needing to drive around to learn it, using GTS+ dealer software - they don't even need to drive the car. Especially if it's a Lexus dealer, I would feel confident pushing back if they say you need to drive the car around before it will learn.

Just make sure your spare tire is installed with a known-good TPMS sensor. And good luck!
