Vulcan Series 2-1/2 IN to 3 IN 304 Stainless Steel Axle-Back Exhaust System (1 Viewer)

Bill, thank you for your significant effort and time to post these.
So..it does sound as if the aFe is slightly throatier, deeper.

Looking at it mounted…the aFe tip does appear to sit slightly higher up, with a tad more clearance; is that correct?
Secondly, I’ll be interested to know how it sounds cruising at say 60 mph, and faster at 75 mph. In Normal drive mode.

Thanks again!

On another post - he mentioned no noise at highway speed

I put some more details in my build thread:

🛠️ Member Build - Overtrail Upgrades

It doesn't drone, that would be a deal killer for me. You can hear it a bit on B-roads around about 40-50 mph but on the highway the sound is drowned out by wind & tires and general traffic road noise. Driving along with the radio OFF you probably won't even notice it.

You get the tiniest bit more throaty note on hard acceleration in Sport+ mode but not much. I was actually expecting more sound but I'm fine with it the way it is. The last thing I want is to be annoyed on long highway runs which I do nearly every day.

I do miss my Borla muffler on my Land Rover 4.6 liter V8. That sounded great.

And yes, the tip sits up a bit higher and no low-hanging resonator box.

Hi. Brand new member here. Are those sound clips of the aFe tailpipe only ($330) or full system ($1000)? Thx 🙏. I ordered a scorcher BT and have been contemplating the exhaust and intakes but worried about warranty.

Mine just arrived 😈

I wanna switch my magnaflow to this axle back, but im contemplating on the full exhaust from AFE or the remark bold exhaust as well. The magnaflow drones so much, i wonder how the full exhaust system will sound with no muffler at the end.

I was gonna get the remark before I saw this but the remark seemed too loud for my taste

In addition to the materials (NYTOP is Ti and aFe is stainless-steel), the NY one is much shorter - it literally dumps right over the axle. The aFe exhaust extends much farther back. Look at the hangers on NY vs aFe.

Mine arrives today - so will venture into the install this week. Im curious to see how either of these will work with a future expanded fuel tank. I'd feel better ditching the steel than titanium given the price difference.

I like the thought/decision behind extending the pipe lower and out more because fewer sound waves will vibrate and resonate within the chassis. my magnaflow does the same thing as the NYtop and i think it creates unnecessary vibrations and drone in the car.
