To each their own. It sounds ok. But no offense you can polish a turd all you want but in the end it’s still… the engine is a beast, but I think a sports car sound doesn’t fit with a big burly suv like this. I think a v8 would sound much better for this “look”.

So thoughts after a few days - my opinion only 1) Not a fan of the low speed sound - getting up to 30mph 2) Above that it's the typical GX song - maybe a bit more muted 3) The trade off of the sound to the improved clearance remains to be seen but think that is the benefit.

With the up coming extended tanks - I think we're all going to have to tweak our exhaust a bit - so maybe this is a good starting point.

I honestly don't even notice it anymore. I didn't get the tin canny sound at all.

My main goal was to get rid of the black back-box hanging down there. I knew from experience that I wasn't going to get some hair-on-my-chest booming V8 burble from this relatively small tweaker V6.

I agree - that's a big consideration as well that it's better to lose the mailbox underneath. I assume we will lose it when the extended Gas Tanks come out - there is literally no place else to put that. Very surprised Lexus would not have flipped the resonator on the side versus the way they did.

ohh i get it. It sounds like a tin can because the OEM midpipe muffler isn't a straight-through design but a chambered design so it sounds like that. Would have to be a less restrictive midpipe muffler to make it not sound like a tin can.

Funny thing is my magnaflow exhaust sounds like tin can sometimes too, drones at certain rpm, also this makes my footwell vibrate so it cant be worse than that lol

How about cruise control on, at highway speeds and going up a slight incline where the engine works a little bit doesn’t downshift, any resonance or drone in that scenario?
