Installed the Westcott hatch ladder, Starlink mini mount on the RTT, and went exploring Sandstone Canyon, Fish Creek, Wind Caves, and Font’s Point.

I love Anza Borrego too. So many good off-road trails and hikes.

Install my drawers and kitchen system today. Now I’m ready for my trip to Olympic National Park in 12 days. Oh yeah, I also snagged the elusive White Crack campground along the White Rim Road in Canyonlands NP.

Yes sir! I was loaded even before putting in the drawers. At least now I can organize better.

I think I will delete the rear seats to reduce some weight. The truck rides much nicer with the weight or maybe it is in conjunction with the King setup.

With a wife, a kid and a dog, if I committed that fully, they'd have to rochambeau for which two of them rode in the drawers.

I didn't feel like putting it on for this quick work trip. I also didn't bother with the Helebox platform. I knew we could find the shade from a cliff out there for the afternoon and throw the beds on the west side of the truck for the morning sun. We were still up by 6:00 with the sun up at 5:30. It was 105 degrees in the afternoon and only got down to 75 at night.

Do you not just leave it on for mileage or wind noise reasons? After getting mine mounted the way I wanted it, it's staying there.

I don't leave it on because it's a huge 180-degree awning, it looks funny, I don't fit in my garage or parking garages, etc. The wind noise is barely noticeable and I haven't noticed any mileage decrease because of it.

I made quick-release mounting points for my awning. I'm not quite finished yet with the final 2 of 4 mounting pins I need, so I've been using the 2 current pins as the quick-release attachment points plus one heavy-duty awning bracket bolted to the roof rack for reinforcement. Bolting the bracket to the roof rack is obviously not a quick endeavor. Once I finish making the 4th mounting pin, I'll be able to pop the awning on & off in just a couple minutes. I originally had a much smaller and lighter awning and it was fine with the 2 quick-release mounting pins. But I bought a much heavier 180-degree awning and I don't trust that 2 pins will hold it so I bought 2 more pins. I just need to finish making the last mounting bracket to bolt the pin to the awning.

Got my first oil change at 909 miles. :p

Service rep said "it's your car. you can do whatever you want to it. And, by the way, I see a lot of people getting the first oil change at around 1000 miles."

I did mine at ~750 miles because it was at the dealer anyway. It's probably ridiculous, but like the guy said, I can do whatever I want to it! I'll do my usual and get another change at 5,000, then every 5,000 after that (don't need the oil change stickers when it's that simple).

Had a busy day.

Installed K&N filters

Installed Hertz DCX 100.3 4" speakers in the dash

Installed Infinity Reference REF697F 6x9s in the front doors

The sound improvement is definitely noticeable, especially on the low end. I also pulled the sub in the tailgate hoping to replace that but didn't get much improvement. Still have some work to do but was able to put some sound deadening around it to capture some of the bass but not a lot of improvement.

Nice! I considered doing those, but I have always run K&N CAIs on my previous vehicles and have enjoyed them. So, these drop-ins will fit the bill for now.

Is there a super noticeable difference? Not really.

Is there a difference? Yes. A little more pep in the step, a little more sound.

As I walked into Autozone to pick them up, I realized that I needed to get two, haha. It was such an obvious thing, but also something I hadn't thought of. But luckily, they had 2, and I was set.
