🛠️ What did you do in your GX today? (3 Viewers)

There's a 40A fuse (SUB-BATT) that directly feeds to trailer socket pin 5. The 30A TOWING fuse appears primarily used for the trailer brake system .
So if I use the 7 pin connector that is connected to the air compressor(my compressor draws 30A), can I just plug that into the 7 pin trailer outlet on the back of the GX and I'm good to go?

You would run two wires (red and black) from your compressor to a new 7-pin plug. The red wire goes to mating pin 5 (power) in your plug and the black wire goes to mating pin 3 (ground).

Now that makes sense - I assumed that everything was 'pre terminated,' if I can adjust all the better. I have not even taken the connector out of the package - just too much going on - but will in couple weeks.

Finally got around to utilizing the vertical space in the center console better. Wasn’t a huge fan of the ones available online as they covered the bottom side.

I made it to the big time! I was searching for a part and I came across this....they grabbed a photo of my truck off of Westcott's facebook page and used it to advertise these window visors!

Nice setup! I’m still pretty new to the GX world and looking at protection upgrades. How was the install on the NYTOP skid, and do you feel it’s worth it compared to other options?”
the NYTOP mid skid is a huge upgrade over the thin flat OEM skid. Easy install if you are able to crawl under your rig, and easier with ramps.Cat Shield Skid Install.jpg

Install is very easy, it’s 6 bolts. I didn’t have ramps, and it was a little tight to do it flat on the ground so I went to an off-road shop that had a lift and only charged a minor labor charge to do it. If I had a way to lift it a bit on my own it’s definitely a DIY job.

It’s double the thickness of the original skid and provides protection to the cats. Originally my biggest issue was the shipping charge but I found a vendor that sells it that had a lower shipping charge.

The other thing I liked is that it can be used with the oem front skid. I had considered the Victory one but they said the oem front skid would require modification to work.
