Is this the item:

Yes that’s it. Depending on what you already have, you may need this..which allows you to crimp/splice on a SAE connector to the power cord:

There was a similar 7 pin on Amazon that had built in 30 and 40amp fuses that I'll go with. Like the Vlair - but it was more than double the price without fuses. I've ordered both and will see which looks better. They're all made in PRC anyway

I also need to get the battery terminal ring cord (only 12” long) and extension cord for that..so I can also quickly hook up to the front of the GX. For whatever unforeseen purpose.

Went to Big Bear in the summer for the first time. Took 2N13 to Butler Peak Lookout. Finished the remainder of 2N13 from Big Bear to Running Springs.

How was the drive - any dicey spots?
The drive to Butler Peak is slow but easy for the most part. No obstacles. Only dicey part is negotiating who gets to pass on narrow sections. Uphill gets right of way. This may get intimidating if you're on the shelf section of the drive.

2N13 or Snow Slide has a couple of "be careful" spots on the West side. One section has an obstacle where it may be easier to get out and survey which line to take. Or you can switch to MTS mode to enable the bottom camera to get a better look. Hard to see the front end with the big hood.

Another section has a boulder in the way so be careful maneuvering around so you don't pin stripe your truck due to bushes. Overall, a lot rockier on the West side of 2N13.

Would highly recommend Butler Peak Lookout while it is open. High clearance with 4x4 is advised.

Got the Kayaks Mounted. Thule Hullevators with The Thule square bar. Final bar cut was 66''.
Relatively old post, but did you need to mount the hullivators that far out for them to lower properly, or could you have mounted them so that the kayaks were closer together? Considering this option for our GX.

Do we have any specs as to what amp load the 7 pin supports? I like you want to plug a compressor in - and that takes roughly a 30-35 amp load

Today I had to park her in the deepest part of my garage. Going on a work trip so she is about to sit for two weeks. Maybe I will remote start her and imagine what it feels like to drive her :ROFLMAO:

I’m using an older Viair 88P analog. I need to pull it out and verify it’s 20A max. However, both newer versions of the 88P pull 20 max per their website.
I don’t know yet which exact pin the Viair 7-pin adaptor red power wire is actually wired to; I’ve asked them to send a diagram to me, they said they would.

For the moment I’m assuming it’s a ‘standard’ RV plug wiring lineup on both that adapter plug and the US GX plug receptacle. I also requested Lexus send me a listing or diagram of their receptacle so I can confirm which pin is what…

On the passenger side there is one generic fuse, 30A, just labeled TOWING, on my ‘24 OT. I’ve been using the adapter a few times for about a month so far.

There's a 40A fuse (SUB-BATT) that directly feeds to trailer socket pin 5. The 30A TOWING fuse appears primarily used for the trailer brake system .
Okay thanks. Based on your analysis and available data, schematics…and my 1 month of use, I should be okay with the current 88P tire inflator I’m using.

I’m only assuming that at least some of the newer (and bigger) Viair portables might also work well - but everyone should check those model specs if they’re planning to go that route.

Thanks again Garauld!

So..my amateur question: I’m looking on various internet images, seeing all kinds of variations, numbering for the plug/connectors with 6 blades and round in the middle…which one is pin 5 on our GX version? Are they numbered underneath the receptacle cover?

Most of the pin 5 RV I’m seeing are Left turn / stop light…

I could probably go an inch shorter and it would be okay. When the kayaks are on, in the lower position I have about 2 inches to the body of the truck. I had dented my 4Runner before from cutting the bar too short and not looking to do that again. My kayaks are 98lbs each and put a good amount of flex into the system. Hope that helps.

Very helpful, thanks!
