Favorite Asthetic Feature:

Much like Porsche, Jaguar, the Old classic Ferrari’s - Lexus captured one particular feature in the GX that is reminiscent of beautiful motorcars of from every generation and that is the elevation of the both sides of the bonnet as it transitions into the front end and side fenders.

This striking design element is why we can’t take our eyes off the front quarter view of a Ferrari Dino, 911 or 981 / 781 etc (pick a generation).

The same applies with the GX - that bold emphasis on each side of the hood (like a handsome squared off chin) is what emphasizes the frontal lines on the vehicle, with each linear element slanting symmetrically down towards the defining detail of a slanted line of sparkling LED lights.

The uniqueness of the GX’s modern and angular bonnet design goes to show that properly placed curvaceous fender flares are not the only design feature that catches the eyes of motoring enthusiasts around the globe.

I'm a big fan of the steering wheel. It's relatively small in diameter compared to previous generations and the three-spoke design keeps in touch with modern tastes. The buttons are well laid out and symmetrical with good looking materials - though I recognize the airbag cover feels cheap and plasticky.

I think the biggest praise I can give is that it just makes sense - I never think about the steering wheel. That's something I can't say about a surprising amount of wheels today (looking at you, BMW, with your fat wheels that seem to be built for lego hands).

I'm also quite fond of the brown "wood appearance" trim. I know it's not as bespoke and artisan as previous generation GX trim, but I'm just so sick of glossy plasticky wood in luxury vehicles.

I agree on the front end and hood. I also really like the rear horizontal light treatment. I really can’t think of any design element I don’t like (except the hitch diaper 😬).

Yes sir! 😎 I need to get some pictures of my Z and 550 together.
I still have a formative recollection of a friend’s 280 Z from when I was in high school in Torrance over 40 years ago. There was always the aroma of fuel and engine oil when we would have spirited drives in Palos Verdes as kids. Cool that you still have one in great shape!

Lol, that aroma is alive and well. I knew my daughter took after me when she went for a ride and commented that she loved the smell of my car!
