Wider fender flares (1 Viewer)

argh...if only it didn't have the rivets. It's not only the rivets but the indentations for the rivets that ruin the look.

Just be warned there might be additional tariffs or import fees from the shipper when they come stateside.

I've spent too much time looking at various fender flares, sharing my observations:

Jaos - My favorite shape, but the indents and dummy bolts aren't for me

NYTOP - The part of the arch that covers the rear door is one piece that replaces two OEM trim pieces. FRP matte black has some surface imperfections on one part only (NYTOP says this is expected, it didn't bother me much as my plan was to paint)

Aimgain - Flare angle looks wonky to me from certain angles, very curious to see these in person (Aimgain full walkaround IG reel for reference as well)

That finish on the NYTOP $1400 matte black fender flares is absolute dog shit. What a joke.
I also expected a ready-to-mount finish. I received the flares in August, but didn't get around to opening the package until December. I asked NYTOP about the imperfections, and they were very responsive and to their credit offered a nominal store credit, or an exchange (with a 6-8 week lead time). I declined since I felt this was my responsibility for not opening and verifying in a timely manner, and I had planned on painting them anyway.

Are you saying you're happy with this or not? This looks terrible to me.
TBH I'm not a fan of nytop I liked their stuff initially but their customer service wasn't up to par. My fender flares has broken tabs due to their packaging. I had to JB weld them together back. As for the fitment I've figured out silicon and bonding them over the double sided tape was the way to go. They charge a lot for a subpar product. Lots of praise for their stuff but I feel they fall short. I bought what I bought and will use them but will not buy any more products from them.

Ty for sharing, and that's disappointing. Another owner also mentioned broken tabs in an older thread.

I hope you guys weren't insulted by my comment....wasn't aimed at you, aimed squarely at NYTOP. I hate it when products like this disappoint.
Not at all, I agree wholly. I shared my NYTOP images so that others can make a more informed decision.

The price is wild. Most injection molded plastic comes imported and is made in batches. They will get slightly better and cheaper over time as the biggest cost is making the mold, and they try to recover that cost quickly.
The factory will probably copy the idea and improve it. So, the next generation Chinese design will probably be slightly better.
