Installed the aFe intakes yesterday. Liking it! Boost hits faster and there is a noticeable performance increase. Engine noise is slightly louder but not by a lot. Turbo spool and bov are definitely noticeable though.

Nice, did you do the turbo inlet? I got those and the intake waiting to be installed.

I installed the intakes and turbo inlets. The turbo spool is amazing. I was not expecting it to be that dramatic. Blow off sound it very noticeable. Definitely improved throttle repsonse.

The passenger side inlet is super easy because there is clear access. On the driver side you have more hoses in the way and need to unclamp a bracket that is in the way. It's much easier to do both inlets and intakes at the same time. I had my GoPro recording so hopefully I will get to posting a video soon.

It definitely has a smoother flow and gets rid of some the built in baffles to help silence the turbo sounds. You won't be using that little 45 degree elbow that comes with the intake. It replaces that with a single piece that attaches directly to the MAF pipe.

Is this the Dry S or 5R?

What's up everyone. I finally made my intake install video. Sorry for the background noise. This is my first stab at making a video and the audio isn't as great. There is a short driving clip at the end.

Anybody running their filters with the OEM intake? Want some feedback before I drop $50 for s+h

Does this void warranty? I have it installed as well but I keep taking it off every time I bring it in for service just in case. Kind of cumbersome

Only if you have an engine issue or other air issue that they can pin on the air intakes. I just got mine back from 10k service and they didn't mention anything. For them to deny a warranty issue, they have to prove that the mod caused the issue. Most mods won't invalidate your entire warranty.

I have these in my cart but haven’t pulled the trigger yet…..this thread is making it hard though!

I made an update video for the check engine light I was getting due to the turbo inlet. aFe finally came up with a solution for it. The worst part was having the truck report the check engine light to the dealer and have them call you to schedule an appointment. I just told them everything was okay and it went away ... I'm not sure if there will be some sort of permanent record on the VIN for a check engine light being reported.

I installed just the 2 filter, and I noticed the difference.

Unfortunately, there will be a record associated to your vehicle. And if they run diagnostics, the code(s) will also be viewable for reference. This is with my dealer and I presume the records are agnostic and visible to all Lexus dealers.
