Automatic car wash

Anyone using an automatic car wash on their GX incognito. I’m concerned about swirl marks I know black vehicle show swirl marks bad just curious about incognito color

Automatic washes are a no no for me regardless of the color. Hand wash only using the two bucket method, a good quality mit and towels.

In the Denver area we have a touchless wash franchise called "AutoWash" -- no connection with the product featured in "The Fifth Element". They use a system made by Karcher and it does a pretty good job. One of their locations uses a new system with robotic arms and A.I. -- but that's on my travel list, when I head north...

I only use hand washes or touchless car washes on all of my vehicles—never automatic brush washes.

I’m selective regarding car washes .. the GX and the Porsches are hand wash only. All the rest get run weekly through the car wash (an inexpensive and time efficient approach if you own multiple vehicles of varied value).

I’ve come to harness a meditative mindset when hand washing my more precious motorcars….

I do a hybrid approach. I love washing by hand, but time! So, I'll typically run the GX through the touchless to make the hand-washing a bit faster...

I have never had luck with any vehicle, regardless of color, not showing swirls when they are run through an automatic car wash that uses brushes. Obviously lighter colors tend to “hide” swirls better than darker colors so I have to assume it would be the same with Incognito. Im sure Incognito would hide swirls better than Caviar (black) but worse than Eminent White Pearl or Earth. Given the fact that you asked this question in the first place, I think you’d be better off hand washing.

I’m a touchless guy too over the winter months, hand wash two bucket method (w/pre- wash with foam cannon) when the weather permits for at least 8 months of the year!
