Dakine pads and a Thule Surf Strap.
I want to replace my OEM roof rack with the cross bars instead. I am tired of the wind noise, but love the look. The OEM cross bars aren't stupid expensive, but wondering if Thule would look and fit the same. Just getting the Lexus ones seems easy. Any pics out there of cross bars on an OT?

Yep. Retail is $560 so think I got a pretty good deal
Those crossbars aren’t the most quiet. Hopefully they will be a step down from the actual rack. I am hoping for aftermarket to replace my OEM or will upgrade to Westcott or Sherpa for a full rack. For $200 you can’t go wrong.

Just looking at the pics does anybody know what crossbars this guy is running? He “thinks” Thule but I can’t find anything that resembles these. Any help is appreciated

Bro I couldn’t even find a Thule set for the GX550
Mine were really old and I sold them with the vehicle they were on, but they used a rubber coated metal strap to wrap around the bar and then tighten and lock into place (if you bought the Thule lock cylinders). They would fit almost any raised roof rack, but admittedly, I never got the chance to try them on my GX.

Yeah...I haven't had a roof rack in years and if I were to guess I bought mine almost 20 years ago. I know the people that have my old SUV and they are still using them with no issues. I wonder if the dude who owns the truck in the picture either found new old stock or bought them years ago and moved them from his old truck to his GX?

Ya idk. Thought it was odd he didn’t know for sure what they were.
Could also be a clone/knockoff of the old Thule design.
