Could not find a thread on this. I was driving , apple car play on, and for no apparent reason, the center console display shut off on its own - went completely blank but came back on after a minute or so. Only happened once (keeping my fingers crossed). Maybe it was on an auto software update .. anyone else experienced this?

It happened to me on my first long drive. Was driving for about 3 hours when it happened.
The second time it happened was about 3600 miles later when I was driving to the dealership for a new windshield.
Asked the dealer to pull up the logs if any and see if there's anything but they found nothing. A little concerning since it has happened twice over 4000 miles.

Yeah, kinda freaked me out for a minute. I've got just about 4100 on mine, hopefully it doesn't happen again...

This happened to me today for the first time. About 6,500 miles on it. I just picked up my boy from daycare and the entire instrument panel blacked out. The center infotainment screen stayed on, but the entire instrument cluster was just powered off or blank, no temp, oil, speed or anything. It came back on about 20-30 seconds later.

I’m hoping there isn’t an electrical gremlin in this model year. I got mine back in May.

I had it happen today for the first time, 9k mile. The main nav display only went blank just after I pulled out today from the house and restarted with in a few sec but had the wrong time zone, it was 4 hours off. When I was able to pull over and look at the date setting and it was on Hawaii time not Central. I reset the time zone and every thing seems ok. Would it have applied a software update and restarted it self?

Not sure if this is the same issue. I had this happen multiple times when having both wireless carplay enabled along with having it plugged in to the wired carplay. The display would freeze and I would need to reset it. After I disconnected the wireless carplay I haven't had any more issues. I personally didn't like wireless carplay, I like to be able to plug in to start either music or podcasts.

happened for the third time to us past week .. nothing happened for over 2 months and I though it went away .. aargh... it restarted on its own.. I'll plug mine in to charge but also have wireless CarPlay on. I like the wireless function as I can start Apple Maps and pick a route as soon as I start the car, or for short drives when I don't need to charge. I don't think it was a software update, maybe I'll have to try with wireless CarPlay disconnected

my center touchscreen rebooted like 20 times on start up this morning, and then eventually just went black. we'll see what happens on the drive home... have a dealer appt to see what's going on... I am also getting squeaky brakes...

Update. Dealer said something is wrong with screen even after reboot. Screen has to be replaced

Happened once, a week or so back. Also, sometimes CarPlay is active but I can’t select it on the screen. Other times CarPlay doesn’t launch at all. Pain.

I am curious if anyone has the 2025 model year with this same issue, maybe Lexus quietly fixed it. I am at 11k miles now, last 5k miles was good, screen has not reboot since the last time.

My wife just returned from an overnight trip and on the way home today the infotainment screen and instrument cluster went black several times. Every two minutes it would go black and then return, almost like a reset. This is a 2025 Premium + with 1500 miles. First time we have seen this.
