My insurance actually went down with the new GX. I guess a 2024 Lexus is cheaper to insure than a 2017 Porsche

Quick update...I quoted all my auto insurance, got Progressive to lower it quite a bit, lower than my old GX...to about $130/month.
I just got a quote from Progressive and they’re half of what I’m currently paying with Geico! Granted, I did increase one of my deductibles, but all coverage is virtually the same.
My 2013 Land Rover LR4 was about $160 per month through American Family and they jumped the price up to $336 per month for the GX550. This prompted me to bid out all my insurance (3 cars and 3 homes). State Farm won and my total annual premiums dropped from nearly $13k to just over $7k. My new State Farm rate for the GX550 is $155 per month - I could have saved another $20 per month on each auto if I agreed to let them implant "safe driver" commie spy devices in each vehicle (hell no).
This was after nearly 30 years with American Family, no young drivers on the policy, I'm just over 50 and my wife is just under 50. I upped the deductible from $250 to $500 with State Farm but I also upped the coverage from $100/300k to $250/500 for bodily injury and uninsured/underinsured motorist. And I also purchased a $1M personal liability umbrella policy for the 3 autos. The umbrella is only about $17 additional per month with the extra savings it provides on the 3 autos.

$336 per month was ridiculous. I'm also shopping for a gently-used 911 and American Family was only estimating about $240 for a 911 that costs about the same as the new GX. That makes no sense to me.
I agree that prices can vary based on brands and area, but pricing the GX for the same area and one quote being twice as much seems a bit ridiculous.
my current insurance wanted $433/month!!!...... move it over to Tesla insurance (need to have a Tesla) with better coverage for a little over $200/month
I added it to my policy with my other cars and my total only went up $300 (I pay every six months). $50 a month for an $83k vehicle surprised the heck out of me. I pay about $1800 every six months for three vehicles and the OT+ isn’t the most expansive. just got it yesterday.

Have you filed a claim yet? It seems to mimic their other post-sales service experience: awful
I just scheduled my SIXTH service appt to fix the front USB ports in my 2019 Model 3.no claim yet...i've had pretty good service from my service center in LA but i'd agree that my experience is not typical.
My premium went up $49.50 per month adding the GX. Damn, I must be old…
$3886 per anum or $324 per month. Progressive. And I got a wife that likes to back into other cars ...
I don’t know didly about insurance but this cost disparity must be related to location.
