Has anyone tried this LC half-diaper?

I've been thinking about this as well. I attach a bike carrier every weekend. I was wondering if a modified version of this might work? The drawback of course is having this sticking out just waiting for you to bash you knee on. If the drop hitch could sit far enough in, maybe in wouldn't be too bad?

I’m working on it with a local kid from Cal Poly SLO who is also a welder and metal worker - the goal something custom fit for the GX that is functional and a fraction of the cost of other products currently on the market.. May have something ready later in this year. ..

Following up on EmergencyMed's comments, if anyone has an existing diaper they are willing to part with, I can do some initial work on the 3D modeling/printing.
