Has anyone tried this LC half-diaper?

I've been thinking about this as well. I attach a bike carrier every weekend. I was wondering if a modified version of this might work? The drawback of course is having this sticking out just waiting for you to bash you knee on. If the drop hitch could sit far enough in, maybe in wouldn't be too bad?

I’m working on it with a local kid from Cal Poly SLO who is also a welder and metal worker - the goal something custom fit for the GX that is functional and a fraction of the cost of other products currently on the market.. May have something ready later in this year. ..

Following up on EmergencyMed's comments, if anyone has an existing diaper they are willing to part with, I can do some initial work on the 3D modeling/printing.

Until the “SLO diaper” makes its appearance. An old forum solution to a “trim piece that covers the ugly bits” is simply to “trim the trim”.. a cut out effectively covers the area. It’s a good temporary solution. And still maintains that popular “diaper look.”

Did you simply cut the cover to allow the hitch to fit in place. Looks awesome. Wish someone with a 3D print would start making these with the cut out. What did you use to cut the plastic. Did you buy a spare cover, if so what's the part number. Thanks

I am still waiting patiently for the SLO Diaper, but the dude in charge of design/build spends all his time driving around the desert cooking stuff. We might need to let him go and get someone less, uh, culinarily focused on the project.
