Heat Seats, Steering wheel warmer and Venting Issues (1 Viewer)

Everyone please call Lexus customer care and report this. They did assign me a case worker and looked into it but said they have not gotten enough reports of issues to warrant a recall or fix
Totally agree and did so today. 1-800-255-3987. It's the only way the seat/climate control issues have any chance of being resolved.

I have had my 2025 gx for a month. Heated seats are so weak actually ridiculous, considering my 10 year old mdx got too hot sometimes. I'm calling tomorrow

Luxury + owner here and am finding the heated steering wheel and seats not offering much heat at all. I've customized "my settings" to +2 (more heat) and I still don't feel much warmth. Anyone else having this issue? Am I missing something?

I also found that the air vents blow cold or hot air sometimes even when the blower (and everything) is turned to off. You guys having that issue as well?
Yes, besides the weak heated seats also having the stange issue where the air vents contine to blow out cold or hot air even when off. Anyone else have this or found a solution??

You can't fully turn off the climate control off if the cool box is on, since it uses the A/C compressor. But if I turn the cool box off, everything can be fully turned off and I get no air flow out of the vents. (I also have the Concierge and "S-flow" off)

I also have the GX Overtrail+ and the heated seats are trash. I got a loaner RX and the seats got nice and hot. Disappointing. I’m calling the 800 number tomorrow.

Please let us know how it goes. I'm taking my overtrail + in next week for a windshield replacement and will get a loaner to compare and prove my case with this worthless driver seat heater. I use my seat heater every day for my back no matter what the weather is. I really hope they fix this problem.

Just my opinion, but I think some people are never going to get what they want. Heated seats in our other vehicles get warmer, but they are only heated seats. So the heating element is directly under the seat cover against your butt. Add cooling and massaging to the mix and there's a lot going on in there - what gets priority?

Personally I don't need hot seats, I just dont want them to be freezing. Same with cooling, I don't expect an air conditioner blowing up my butt. I'm pretty happy with the GX seats, and everyone who has been in it has loved the massage feature.

I went in today to get the squeaky brakes fixed, which they accomplished same day. I brought up the heated seats and they said they are working on the solution. Also called the 1800 number mentioned in this thread and they also said they are seeking a solution and it’s not just the models with massage seats. Please call 1-800-255-3987 because they will give you a case number and it means the dealership you have on file will automatically call you as soon as there is a fix, according to the lady I spoke to. When you call the number, you will hear a bunch of options and if I remember correctly number six is the option which is “other questions.” As for Jclafee, I am absolutely thrilled that you enjoy your GX and I enjoy mine as well. But try to refrain from jumping on a thread just to clog it up with a comment that is irrelevant to the conversation. I would imagine everyone is pleased that you are content with your vehicle. I think most of us are happy too. But a lot of us who paid $86,000, plus tax, for a new Lexus expect at a minimum we will get heated seats that work. I have a GMC Sierra 1500 Denali ultimate with heated seats that are also Massage and the heated seats work extremely well, so please don’t think that those are mutually exclusive features. And if we don’t raise this issue, then it won’t get fixed and people who purchase this vehicle in coming year models will have the same problem and that isn’t fair. It is our duty to make it known so that Lexus can fix it.To everyone else on this thread that is contributing in a constructive way, thank you so much for the information because without it I wouldn’t have known which number to call or how to raise the issue properly.

I'm truly sorry for expressing my opinion and "clogging up" a thread about how warm your ass gets. Please carry on.

"But a lot of us who paid $86,000, plus tax, for a new Lexus expect at a minimum we will get heated seats that work" . Thanks Strake:). I called customer service and received a case number. So we wait......

2025 GX 550 seat rear seat heaters are worthless. Lexus delaership advised they work like all the other GX 550. I had the heat measures and it was nominal if at all. And it didn't change with setting changes. I couldn't get a service person to sit in the car and tell me the heaters were working. So I took it to arbitration. I couldn't get the arbitrator to sit in the car either. So, another GX 550 on this forum told me to call and open a case so I did so. We will have to see if anything happens. Big dissapointment. I think if enough complain, maybe we hafe a shot at a fix.

I'm having the same issue with the heated seats in my gx550. Definitely not heating properly. They need to fix this for this luxury vehicle.
Living in Vermont I only buy vehicles with heated seats and heated steering wheel. This is my second winter with my Overtrail and both the front seats and steering wheel heat up fine. Equal to the BMW, MB, Audi, Honda, etc vehicles that preceded this my first Lexus.
Having followed this forum since I bought my Overtrail (28,000 miles now), I have to say, with no disrespect intended, that it certainly appears that Lexus owners are in a league of their own when it comes to critiquing their vehicles. Nothing wrong with strong opinions, just an observation.

Well, glad your seats heat. Mine do not. This is hardly a "critique". I live in Chicago and paid 90k a vehicle with heated seats. They don't heat nor do they cool. All my other vehicles for the past several decades have properly heated seats. Your comment isn't helpful

In my experience, the criticism is certainly warranted. The heating and cooling features in the GX are not as robust as my other vehicles, Toyota RAV4 Prime and Prius. I live in California so usage is only occasional but compared to other vehicles in the same family the cooling/heating aspect is pretty lacking.

Agree. It's like they use a magnifying glass along with a fine tooth comb to find as many problems as they can.

I contributed to this thread above. You have to take it to the dealership and tell them that the heated sheets do not work. This only happens, I assume, if your seats have the Massage option. This means that only the over trail plus and the luxury with the massage seat function. Every Lexus loaner that they have given me during maintenance (RX350) has had heated seats that get your butt very hot. I like using my heated seats and massage feature because I drive long distances and it helps my back. It’s also very nice in the cold weather when I go up to Colorado. As I stated in my post above, I have had heated seats with the Massage function before and the seat still heated up, but Lexus seems to have dropped the ball on this one. If your seats do not have the Massage function then my theory is not valid regarding that. But I think that’s why the people who have the lower trims don’t have problems with the heated seats. After you take it to the dealership and they document that you reported this, and make sure they do a drive around with the heated seats on so they can see that they really don’t get hot, call the one 800 number in my post above and report it. Hope this helps.
