Hi everyone!

I'm new to the GX community and I love it so far. I love almost everything about it but noticed something odd. Is it normal to have e such a exposed rear wheel well? I purchased this brand new a couple weeks ago and it seems silly for these plastic pipes to be so exposed. Not that most should be worried but I touched the pipe with the red cap and it seems very fragile. I'm not sure what its soupposed to do but if someone really wanted to mess with the car, they could easily break this as it does seem important.

I searched online and I dont really see anything about this unless im not searching the correct terms. Does everyone notice the same issue or is something missing on my GX? This is a 2026 GX premium plus. Photo was taken at the rear wheel well of the driver side.

normal, but I wouldn't be so worried about the exposed parts if someone was truly trying to mess with you. There are easier ways than reaching into a wheel well

If you wanted an additional layer of protection, you could get these.

Thanks for the quick reply! I was just looking at this but it specially states fits only overtrail only. Are there any other vendors out there?

i'm not sure which connectors we're looking at specifically here, but for the most part, the exposed and easy to detach things are definitely not mission critical. might be height sensor, AVS suspension control, trailer wiring, rear washers, camera... stuff like that. I have some exposed beefy hoses that are kdss/sway bar control on the overtrail+, also not mission critical.
Brake lines and fuel lines are the only things I'd be worried about and pretty sure these aren't those.
